1) Contact Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus (SPAAMFAA). The have a news letter with ads, and a WEBSITE.
They also "network" amoung members to get you what you need. They have loads of chapters.

2) Have you joined the American Truck Historical Society? They have a website as well. They list parts for sale too.

3)Try looking thru some trade magazines or
"buffing" magazines.. All major norther musters, shows, and flee markets are listed and with alot of "For Sale" items in:

4) Search the "e-bay" auction site under "FIRE". Lots of toys to pick from there!
5) Lastly, call a few fire departments. Many smaller depts. will give you retired stuff to get it out of their shop. Some even hold huge "yard sales", selling equipment by the pound. I got some really neat stuff from the Baltimore City, MD FD that way, cheap!
