I have absolutely no idea. All I know is that the Power-Wagon bed was built sturdy enough to haul a load of river rock to the tops of the sides and tailgate. I also haul firewood to the tops of the side boards (11-1/4 inch taller than the bed sides. I have hauled black dirt, mulch, railroad ties, lose shingles, and a host of other loose items, all to the top of the sides and tailgate.
The Power Wagon may be a wimp compared to a Unimog, but why would I care. It is good enough for me. It does what it was designed to do. That is all that I ask of it.
