Looks like the gasoline-burning kind. I didn't know they made a fender-mounted one of those for the M37. I knew they used them for the back part of ambulances and as combined engine, battery, and cab heaters for 2.5, 5, and 10-ton M-series trucks as part of the arctic kit, but I thought all fender-mounted units ran on hot water.
