That one looks real decent; meaningful current output (not just for gauges), a linear regulator (no radio noise), and a decent heat sink. Without looking at it I couldn't tell how much protection circuitry it includes. If it's just a TO-3 packaged (high power) 7806 mounted on a heat sink, the price is way too high. If it includes the protection diodes, zener, filter capacitors, etc, then it's well designed and ought to last a long time, but still kind of expensive.
