Couple of ideas. A lot of the older ones were made from flat sheet, just rolled. They have tabs either spot welded or riveted for the screw cover mounts. Possible to make them yourself but it depends on your mounting situation.
Check out the homestores for metal kitchenware like drinking cups and such. Lots of them are bell shaped so size will be there somewhere ;)
