Combat Wheels (oh no!).....

Okay folks. Now that I've used everybody's tips on getting them apart. What about all the rust? (I'm talking rust RESIDUE 3 dimensional. The puddy knife's best friend) Should I get them sand blasted, primed, then painted? OR do I just wire brush them and put on the new tubes & tires? Kinda' like sweeping the dust under the carpet (ya' don't see the rust when they're assembled) MANY THX in advance.
