used to do pre delivery inspections on new chysler vehilces > and one part was after a scheduled road test 10 miles you recorded the milage savvy depending on delivery loading and unloading most came with 6 to 8 miles on the clock > after filing out any warrnty claims on the test run and neccasarry adjustment YOU RECORDED the milage when the vehilce was parked for delivery to the coustemer period so i have seen many many odomiters > no all the new vehilces came with the numbers in a perfect horizontal series 000008.7 straight across no devation now > on this car look at the left hand side the 0 s are lower that than the numbers on the right now The 8/10th of a mile coming down . should be moving the first number to the left of it (another 8)should be down a quarter and the 2 should be just a hair lower than it is cause the high number 8 precipitates a change from 2 to a 3 > i road tested a lot new BUT high power mopars the road test was AWSOME to do in the late 60s and 70s yee haa !!
