As a kid still in high school, thats exactly what we did. We ordered rings, rod bearing, mains from JC Whitney. Never measured the bore, journals etc. They ran great while we had them. As kids cars/trucks were always changing so I dont know how many years after the freshen up they lasted. But for us kids, it was cheap and kept our wheels moving.
