I used a Saginaw pump (canned ham style). I got one with the twin return lines on it as the hydroboost needs them both. I actually have a V8 in my carryall. I mounted it high on the driver's side. It took me a while to figure out a system to mount it. I used the lower mount from an early Chevy and used an aftermarket altenator adjustment bracket for the top stabilizer and adjustment bracket.
I am going to convert my 51 ffPW that has the original 230 flathead in the next month or so. I will mount the pump on the driver's side again. I will come off the lower alternator mounting bolts for the lower mount and use either a head bolt or one of the water pump mounting bolts for the adjustment/top bracket. I may make a bracket that will hold both the genaerator and power steering pump. We will see when we get into the design stage.
