Yessir. The '49 has an MU2, serial numbered with the truck. Same as David's, I think.
The one on the W500 is different. The shifter is on the opposite end of the drum instead of between the drum and the gear housing. This is why I gave David the wrong response earlier. Here is a picture of it.
