What I did was simply disconnect the union in the oil pressure line (which is near the back of the block). I then installed a "t" brass fitting there that then allowed me to plumb in the rubber hose from the preluber into that. I needed to buy the t fitting as well as a male fitting for it that was "barbed" for the rubber hose to fit over. Inexpensive.
By doing this you can get oil throughout the engine before start up.
