The green repro clutch parts are cast iron, I had to grind mine to fit my home made bracket.

As I recall, my Braden other-end support is maleable- it had a crack in it that I decided brazing was the best fix.

I use a drill test between the three types- drill a small hole, and look at the chips: dust means cast iron, spiral chips means steel, a mix of dust and short chips= maleable.
