No. My work today will involve verifying all ground connections I can find are good. I have no voltage at two points; one at a lift pump lead and the other at the injection pump. I can't afford to just go buy an ECM to see if that is it. I have been told that grounds can cause serious problems.
The service manual chooses to remark that one should not paint the back of the ECM, not that I can think of why I would ever choose to do that. The manuals says this would cause a bad ground.
Perhaps it is foolish pride and perhaps it is fear of cost, but I have thus far chosen to not tow it to a dealer and put myself at their mercy.
