Have you ever torqued a new spring bolt and Deep nut, then for some reason had to take it off. The Deep nut does not spin off like prior to being torqued. The threads have distorted. Along with this the 'K' in the torque formula is now changed and the proper torque will not be achieved at the given torque recommendation. Its not just Dayton that specs non re-use. Look at other companies that make Spring U bolts/Deep Nuts, they all say the same thing.
