If they don't have the exact size, get one a bit bigger and sand it down to fit.
Umm, usually the thrust washer is bigger than the cummutator. Get the brushes into their holders, then get the washer stuck between them, The washer will hold them back until the armature is inserted, then the armature pushes the washer to the end cap and the brushes snap home. Works on starter, generators,......
