Could be his girlfriend's mad at him? No, probably if that was the case, instead of a phone number she would have just printed the address and said come and get it. I remember there was somebody in Tacoma a while ago who was mad at someone and put an ad in craigslist saying that their house was going to be torn down and people should come and take anything they wanted out of it. By the time the owner got home, there wasn't much left but the studs. It's scary how easy it is to do something like that.
