Last dealing I had with the NJ DMV about a year ago I had a title for my 1959 w200 but no year on the title it was a pa title from the early 60's and had the serial # starting with M which I guess back then they understood it was a 59. I went to the local dmv brought some proof of the M series was 59 but they would not look at the proof. Went to Trenton showed the same proof to the clerk she faxed a copy of what I had to another office and I was out of there in about 1/2 hr with my title.
Yes the NJ DMV is a headache but I do like the QQ plates no inspection and only pay once for the plates,
