My only Apple products have been two iPods. I bought them early and paid a lot for them, and they have both partially died of different hardware failures now. Yes I took them to the "Apple store" and the tech said, "Yup, it's dead". Out of warranty, too light to even be a boat anchor. So far, they're zero for two with me, and I'm not going to buy anything else of theirs. They may have great software and cool-looking products, but hardware failures on un-repairable (un-openable, even) electronic gizmos are a killer. Now I have a "Sansa" music player that I found lying in the street, and it's been working great for a year. I had to buy a cable for it, but other than that it was free.
