He was in the trunk, cutting across the floor. I guess he burned a hole into the tank. Made a big WHOOMP! and lifted the car into the air about six inches.

But no, I'll not be hammering on the old tank. Actually looks like I'll try metal spinning a stainless 'dish' that the sender locks into. Then weld it into the new tank. Quite a challenge.
