Think about it, there is no reason a little air can't leak down the threads.
Personally, I bleed mine all by myself with a wrench, a rag, and a 2x4. Simply pump the pedal several times to compress all the air that is allover the system. Then jam the 2x between seat and pedal. Now get out and get under, opening a bleeder and catching the fluid in the rag. All that compressed air in the whole system pushes the fluid out. Close the bleed, repeat as necessary. You'll hear the air blst out, fluid not so much. Work from farthest (r/r) to nearest, leaving the left front for last. Since you no longer have four empty cylinders of air to compress, it works the hardest. So I get my head under the fender, open the bleeder, reach up and pull down on the pedal to bleed. No need to yell "Up" "Down", unless you talk to your self.
Disc systems have no restrictions to flow. Piece of cake, you can gravity bleed them. Simply leave the bleeder open. Come back occasionally and look for drips. Close any dripping bleeders.
