Did you check both sides of the frame (right and left). It appears that for some reason, the BIN is not always on the left frame rail, just aft of the front end. Check both sides, it will not be a PLATE, the number is stamped in the frame. Sometimes the stamping is faint, then rust hides it. Try wire brushing both front ends of the frame rails. Then lay a piece of white paper on the frame rail and with the side of a pencil lead go back and forth over the white paper. IN some cases the VIN can then be seen on the paper.
