I'd check on the TurboDiesel register forums. Also I seem to remember that dirt can find it's way into the "Tone Ring"... the toothed ring that the ABS reads for each wheels' speed. This dirt can cause the ABS to go off line.
I'd also worry about the unit bearings going bad and or one of the front U joints especially with the shudder.
