Temp gauge

I ordered a temp gauge for my 48 B-1 from Siltzer Auto in FL. This is the capillary type with the sensor attached to the guage

I received it today and the one I got is for a 51-54 B-3 B-4.

Since this one has the gauge face with "HEAT" on it with "C" on one side and "H" on the other, I'm wondering if enough of the rest of the assembly is the same that I can just switch the face with my old one and it will still work.
