Any black epoxy will work great...just thin the first coat down. until it'll really soak into the wood.
I'd send you a quart but it's not really shipping friendly :)
We use all different brands here. Mostly either Hempel or International.
Personally...if I'm buying it I buy Endura.
Seriously...if you're near a Shipyard...you should ask if they'll give you a quart. Every day when we clean out our equipment we throw away about a gallon left in our hoses.
Only problem is you only have a couple hours to get it on until it's hard as a rock if they've already added the catalyst.
Any of these coatings will last longer than you or I will be alive Ken :)
POR15 compared to Marine Epoxy...this is like comparing Latex house enamel to a Poly Urethane base clear auto finish.
Not to mention that even the best marine Epoxy costs around $40/gallon.
