Forward Shock Mounts?

Did anyone else notice that the Driver side (right hand on this vehicle) has the lower shock mount on the INSIDE of the leaf spring, whereas the passenger side (left hand side) has the shock mount on the OUTSIDE of the leaf spring.

I wonder why the Swiss chose that? (unless it was to keep costs low, and only cast 1 bracket for both sides?)
