Thanks Kaegi, I plan to start looking hard sometime after xmas. In the late sixties here they jacked up the gasoline and lowered the diesel subsidizing the diesel with the higher price on the gasoline, I guess to help out industry etc., but doesn`t really make any sense. Anyway ever since then there was a big switch over to diesel so there problably are quite a few old generators forklifts etc. sitting around. As far as cost goes finding an old flat head and rebuilding comes out way cheaper than the diesel, even though the diesel is enticing, not sure why, I guess fuel cost and economy. I paid $5000 for the cummins 6 and sold it for $3500 as I was in a bind. Would have been cool to see how she ran with the cummins 6 and 5sp overdrive, oh well I guess I`ll see what the future holds.
