Wonder how many houses will fall over built out of poor lumber (that has since turned to mold) in the boom days. When I framed houses and apts. in Texas the forman sent me thru the apt. with a sawz all making angle cuts two thirds of the way thru the bowed studs and then drive in a 16 penny nail to straighten the stud. I build surfboards out of spanish cedar and balsa woode. The sp. cedar is about $2 per bd. ft. and the balsa is about $1.
