Glad I started this thread. But I still am curious how Dave Speeds rev tcase would play out. Dave are you there. Again, no mechanic here, but I think I see what you are saying. The high range would translate into the 2.73 equivalent and I guess the low range would almost duplicate this equaling app. 5.45. As I said with the higher low(maybe even the 251 or 265 with a guttsier rebuild) end torque of the diesel this would be plenty for serious 4 wheeling or even the higher rpm torque from a v8 and the truck on the highway would run forever(well almost) at 65 with no virtual strain on the motor.
