That way I could change my 5sp Np back to direct and have plenty of gears for 4wheeling with all the torque from the diesel and then 5 speeds for the highway.
Since fuel here is so expensive gasoline motors are very expensive to drive. A friend of mine bought a D300 here once with a toyota land cruiser diesel in it, it would barely do 60 if that but it would jump off the road with all kinds of power in the lower gears.
