Truck and Industrial engines were actually red. I've had a couple come through the shop and they were both red, and one of them actually was a 1968 casting. Dupli-Color makes a Chrysler Industrial Red engine paint. Typically when I paint engines with rattlecan paint, I put some automotive clear in the spray gun and clearcoat it. Don't worry about the heat, it holds up fine and I use the same clear on every engine built in my shop. Works nice!
