Some of the details you mention make your truck sound like a open cab like a WC-3 with a 2wd cab added. That is a common swap, I have seen a large number of them. I bet I have only seen one real closed cab WWII 1/2 ton 4wd pickup for every ten that look real from 200 feet away.
