I tend to agree with Clint. The "factory" location would not interfere with the Positive Crankcase Ventilation system. The rubber hose may not be suited for vacuum. When the hose gets hot from engine heat, it may collapse and reduce braking power. If you use any rubber hose, it MUST be designed for vacuum use. This type of hose has a spiral wire embedded in it to prevent collapse. Also check and make sure that the line has a check valve installed and that is in working order. The vacuum chamber on the booster "stores" vacuum and will operate when not much vacuum is avalable from the engine.
