That would be good stuff. I have used spantex on a wooden porch exposed to the weather and foot traffic and it held up for 20 years. It's close to $100/gallon, and a gallon covers 30 square feet, so it's not cheap. Also, it has to be used only over bare, clean wood. Not sure about metal. I think I've seen it used on metal boat decks, though. It's getting hard to find. There's some "green" water-based brand that's a lot more common these days, but I don't trust it. I think I'll just stick with the rust-oleum for this, because I know it adheres well to metal, and the cracks are small enough that it should easily seal them. Plus I already have a couple gallons on hand.
