Do you have the stamped or cast support? With my stamped support, it's rivots. The repair is a pain. I plasma cut a small piece out of the bottom of the crossmember. Still looking for a new bracket, will reinforce be for install. The think this is a common problem because many of the 1/2 tons I've had have had the bracket welded to the frame.
