I tried a few different ways and gave up, and was considering going the hanging pedal route.

I even tried mounting it about 10" further forward to clear the steering and spring stop. but was worried about the line routing and any flex in the bracket, etc...

I now see Ken had 4 wheel drum brakes, so his installation would not be comparable.
