Motor Hesitation? 230 57 PW

My 57PW with a stock 230 motor, well it dose have that larger cam in it that Vintage Power wagon sales. The motor has a little hesitation in it when you are cursing at 25 mph and you give it a little more gas. It hesitates for a second or so?
Can any one tell me what to try Timing? Carb adjustment? Fuel? Float? Plug wires? Plugs?
