I was doing tests on mine. Changing distributors mechanical vs. vacum (spelling?), changing advance at idle etc.
It all died on me. Fuel gauge had a bad ground and told me I was on full when infact I was empty.
Cost me some head scratching and 45 minutes! If you put fuel down carb and it starts......might be empty.
