Pulled out one of my vehicles about 2 weeks ago and started it up. My habit is to always unhook one battery cable when storing. I then look under the hood before leaving. This time it was worth it as when I looked at the motor the fuel pump was leaking out the air hole and shooting gas onto the header.
No fire but I sure shut it off quick! I do have a fire extinguisher on board and I'd also add don't go with the smallest one you can find. The added cost and space is trivial if you'd run out on a smaller fire. Amazing how quick they can go up in flames.
