In the past, my PW/WC and M37 have high quality wheel bearing grease packed in the knuckle. I have not had any leak problems. I have pulled a axle and the Joint is totally covered with grease. Now, I have had a change of thought and will fill my W300 knuckles to the full line with John Deere Corn Head grease. Its more fluid, but I still dont expect leaks with good wheel seals.
The picture is high quality wheel bearing grease after a years use. You can see the joint is still well lubed.
