than change 50+ year old tire rim combos. fortunately, i cut my dodge teeth with bob stahl in ma. We (he) pounded down 1/5 of my set (one tire for the new math kids) on a hot july morning before we decided my money and his time & health were better spent. we dropped off those combat wheels at a local truck shop, with the orig bead locks still in them and then went to lunch. had the coldest beer(s) I ever had & a couple of hours later picked those rims up. find a heavy truck guy that has a few earth mover tires out back. they are not afraid. i believe they used the bucket of bulldozer to press the rubber down. chalk it up to black magic, skill, whatever. they did it without complaint for $25 bucks per tire. my hospital deductible is $500 last time i checked.....
now that my rims are painted and pretty, the come apart easy and do not require a hammer to take apart. i believe the combat rim to be safer and easier to service than the ring type.
be careful!!
