those engines did not idle slow
had a 61 fuelie engine in our 55
balanced engine, light flywheel with bell housing shield
traction master bars, traction master shocks
close ratio 3 speed column
engine was so strong that you could start it
by turning on the key and rotating the dist
to give a bit of spark to one hole.
normal start proceedure was to turn the ign
kill switch off, crank until oil pressure came up & turn the ign kill switch on
fun bel air no v8 emblems, white wall tires,
65 mph in low
