I would be willing to bet if you were to read the literature in 1950 something, and subsequently walk into your dealer and demand to buy a Power-Wagon that would easily drive 65 miles per hour, they would have ordered one up right quick from the SEG (Special Equipment Group) with 9.00 x 16 tires and 4.89 gearing.
65 miles per hour in a Power-Wagon off the showroom floor was a stretch, but definately within the realm of possibility with the abilities that the SEG had in getting customers what they wanted. The statement in the literature was obviously a marketing ploy, but still well on this side of a white lie.
