Too bad to lose that money. We've probably all been there. Trusting people in business deals is more and more getting to be a losing proposition. I guess I've been pretty fortunate. I've built nearly 100 homes in my area in the last 35 years and only been burned 3 or 4 times. I still do a lot of my work on verbal agreement, but that doesn't mean it's the smart thing to do. It's hard to do much after 2 years, but you might try going and talking with her about it.
