I got a couple of pairs of headlights in a pile of M37 parts recently. I assumed them to be M37 buckets. Upon closer examination, I dont think so. The buckets themselves seem the same as M37, but the mounting is different. The M37 base has a square box on the bottom of ther bucket, with a 1/2 round depression, that mates up with a 1/2 round protrusion on the headlight mount. This allows the aiming of the light. Now on these mystery lights, there is a 1/2 round bump on the bottom of the light, so the mount must have a 1/2 round depression.
Also, it appears that the wiring harness plugs into the back of the bucket, instead of passing through the bucket via a grommet like the M37.
So, if you arent completely cornfused yet, let me know if you have any idea what these lights go to.
Thanks,
Tim
