Maybe you had a little bit in the end of the overflow tube and the crash flung a few drops onto the exhaust? Maybe your truck always leaks a bit of antifreeze but you don't nice it when you're moving? Chronic small leaks will usually eventually make themselves known as a spot of crusty deposits on the radiator or at a hose end.
This must be the week for wrecking 91 Honda Civics. I have a good passenger side door for her if she wants it. Glad you and your truck are okay. Hopefully the girl learned a lesson but won't have any permanent harm. Even without insurance, she needs to get her whiplash looked at. I have a friend who's having chronic neck troubles from an old whiplash injury that she thought was no big deal at the time and the doctors dismissed with a prescription for pain pills. Now that she's older, it's coming back to haunt her like an old war wound or an old football injury.
