Well Paul, that might be what the law says, but over here by Rochester you're good to drive till one of the PoPo cars with the TV cameras on top catches you on the street.
If you manage to drive more than a year without insurance you take a picture of an inspection sticker on somebody else's car, or steal one with a BernzOmatic, and get a complementary badge & gun and a paycheck from the Town every 2 weeks.
