maybe the new pvc valve is bad, also i have those mopar covers on my 318 , i bought them to prevent valve cover leaks but so far i have put 3 sets of felpro black rubber gaskets on them (they all leaked) until the last set i put on, i used permitex high temp silicone on them, the quality of the vavle covers and gaskets are not very good ,i also had to drill & mill the hole for the pvc valve
