You're tight on backlash, s/b .011. There are numerous conditions that can cause that problem.
- To little clearance between Cab and tranny.
- PTO lever missing anti-rattle washer at shifter shaft adjustment bolt.
- cab not aligned properly.
- Bad PTO reverse & idler shafts, gears, or bearings.
- Bad third member.
- Bad TC intermediate gear or bearings.
- Bad rear motor mounts.
Was the PTO rebuilt? If so, then you need to add additional anti-rattle washers. I have a 56 and I also added a thin washer between lever and rear but plate where the pin holds the lever. I also rapped a piece of rubber inner tube around the lever at the floor plate lock area about two inches wide secured by cable ties around the rubber/lever. After chasing all the rattles, the only thing I hear now is the purr of the engine when going down the road.
