I too used the Helitool kits...engine, disc brakes, hanging pedal assemblies. I have had no problems and my engine runs cool with the original radiator...cleaned and inlet/outlets changed...and no shroud.
My engine, tranny, bellhousing, alternator brackets, power steering pump etc. all came out of a 67 Dodge truck.
I know that when Chrysler developed the Magnum engines...(1990's ?) that the 318's no longer shared much of the internal engine components. As for the external dimensions I am not sure.
I suspect you have one of the Poly engines that were dimensionally larger, and as MoparNorm will be sure to tell you had almost as much potential as a Hemi.
I think that with a pusher electric fan and shroud that the engine will run nice and cool...even in the heat of AZ.
