Installing non-vent window glass - Pease help

What is the trick to installation? What's the proper sequence, etc? I installed the verticle channel. I got the glass in and let it go to the bottom so I could orient it properly. I got the glass aligned in the verticle channels. It slides up and down, but won't go all the way up. I have tried to install the regulator with the window up and with the window down. I can get the wheels in the track, but it won't crank all the way up and will only go down about 2 inches before hanging up. The stop screws are missing from the window channel, but I can put in others. Any advice appreciated.
